Rev. Juan Loredo

Senior Pastor

Pastor Juan Loredo is an Ordained Elder for the Church of the Nazarene, and prior to serving at Champaign First, Pastor Juan Loredo served as Lead Pastor at Sullivan Church of the Nazarene in Sullivan, Indiana; Fort Wayne First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Associate Pastor at Decatur Church of the Nazarene in Decatur, Indiana.
Pastor Loredo is a graduate from Nazarene Bible College, where he received a B.A. in Pastoral Ministries/Counseling. He also attended Olivet Nazarene University where he received two (2) Master Degrees: Master of Arts Degree in Pastoral Leadership and a Master of Divinity Degree. In addition, Pastor Juan Loredo also served overseas in Iraq as a DoD civilian employee for the U.S. Army (He did two tours).
Pastor Loredo is married to his lovely wife Kelly, and between the two, they have two daughters and six grandchildren. Pastor Juan says he is in love with Jesus Christ and that his passion is to lead as many people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Moreover, he enjoys preparing, equipping, and empowering people to serve in the many areas of God’s church. Pastor Loredo enjoys reading and studying the Holy Bible,, spending time with his wife, fish, and attending as many Major League Baseball games as he possibly can.

John Richardson

Associate Pastor

Hi! My name is John Richardson, and I am a district licensed minister in the Church of the Nazarene and I am pursuing ordination. Prior to serving at Champaign First I was a youth ministry intern at College Church in Bourbonnais.
I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2019 with a bachelor’s in Pastoral Ministry. I am currently working on a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary. I am a Chaplain Candidate in the Army Reserve and at the end of my program I will become and Army Chaplain.
I am passionate about helping others grow in their spiritual walk, and growing alongside them. In my free time I enjoy distance running and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Phil Barnell

Worship Director

Raised in the Nazarene Church, Phil has been a part of Champaign First for fifteen years now. Phil’s passion are teaching, music, and above all else- serving Christ.

In Phil’s free time he enjoys playing the guitar, soccer, reading, and travel.

Carolyn Edens

Senior Life Director

Carolyn has been a Nazarene since 1989 and has been a part of the CFC Naz family since 1993.
Carolyn has been in the nursing field since 1972. She loves helping people, making them feel needed, wanted & healthy. Carolyn visits our seniors in the hospital, and their homes. She takes them to appointments, if needed, and calls them to check in on them. Carolyn makes sure that they have food and medicine that they need. She also has arranged for other people to help out in the Senior Living ministry when and where it is needed.
Carolyn likes to cook for others, crochet and learn about things by reading and looking them up. Most of all, she loves her 13 year old Shih Tzu Dog.
